In the first semester, for DTSI, my theme was "Connecting tutor to the NGO". The social challenge we tackled was “Upskilling the children's communication skills and personality development”. By employing a design thinking approach, we developed a strategy to bridge the gap between educational resources and NGOs, aiming to foster growth in communication abilities and personal development among children, providing them with skills crucial for their future.

This project allowed me to apply both technical and creative skills in designing a device that counts automatically through mechanical means. We faced challenges in ensuring accuracy and reliability in counting, but through iterative design processes, we refined our machine to deliver precise counts, enhancing my understanding of mechanical engineering principles and problem-solving in real-world applications.
