1. Would this information be helpful to someone who is unfamiliar with the topic?

2. What information about the topic is most important?

3. How does the student record new knowledge?

4. What new ideas does the student present?

Time to ask yourself, "What does it all mean?"

1) Gather all of your notes and data and read over them

2) Have you answered your research questions?

3) What patterns or trends do you notice? Can you organize the information into themes?

4) What big ideas do you get from the information?

5) What new ideas or thoughts do you have about the topic that you did not have when you started researching?
