Welcome to Music!

Hello!

I am Mr. Oscar Cardoza, and I am excited to get to make music with a new generation of musicians here at McDougle Elementary! I hope to share amazing experiences that will make today's children fall in love with music and carry that love of music with them throughout their lives.

My passion is music, especially singing. I joined choir when I was in high school, and it was then that I realized that teaching the world to sing, read, and love music was the only thing I wanted to do with my life. I am eager to get to build a foundation for young musicians to become great musicians and music lovers!

What do we do in music?

In music, we will get to explore with our voices, sing songs, play games from around the world, play several instruments, get up and move, learn about composers throughout time, learn how to read and write music, and have fun, while we learning, all the way!
