Bask in the day of knowledge, brightly shining

Upon the mountain slopes of Haleakalā

The ʻŪkiu wind blows the Naulu rain

Freed are the life giving waters of the highest heavens

So that the admired lehua blossom thrives

Strive for the heights, and take your place 

Kalanikuʻihonoikamoku is the high chief

The just ruler of wellness.
