Exploring paint
As Children grow, they need to learn that images and symbols they create can be used to transport them into a fantasy world.
Painting refines fine motor skills, natures emotional expression, creativity and shapes young minds. This also offers children a creative outlet that engages their attention, promotes relaxation and provides opportunities for self- expression.

Learning about animals through face painting
The face painting mesmerised all of the children when they saw they had turned into a
butterfly or a cat. The children got so fascinated and kept looking in the mirror!

Many thanks to Brenda
Brenda has been looking after KG2 well and she makes everywhere spotless and clean. During the PSHE lesson, we invited Brenda to talk about how her role is so important and the KG2 children thanked her. We certainly do appreciate Brenda's work.

From Sounds to Words: KG 3's Phonics Adventure
In KG 3, we have introduced the foundational sounds essential for reading and writing. Each day, the children engage in practices that involve segmenting and blending words, fostering their phonetic awareness. This systematic approach not only builds their confidence but also enhances their ability to decode new words.
It’s truly heartwarming to witness their excitement when they read their first consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) words, such as "mat" and "dad." The joy in their faces as they successfully articulate these simple words is a testament to their hard work and growing skills. Our daily activities are designed to be interactive and fun, encouraging a love for literacy from an early age. Through games, songs, and group exercises, the children are not only learning sounds but also developing essential communication skills that will serve them well in their educational journey ahead.

October in Reception!
Another month in Reception! Reception have spent the last month reinforcing their letter and sound recognition skills, segmenting and blending CVC words. They have also practiced writing three letter words and are now moving onto sentence structure! Before attempting to write sentence, the child must learn how to put words in sentences- orally! The children then moved on to learn that every sentence has to have an ‘idea’, starts with a capital letter, one finger space after each word and finishes off with a full-stop! We practiced reading sentences, tracing them, writing them and building them- all in preparation for: Independent writing!

October in Reception!
In Creche, Children explore paint in different ways. Painting can help them improve their hand and finger strength, hand -eye coordination, tactile perception, focus, and concentration.
This time they used droppers to paint grapes which offer them an opportunity to learn about gravity and color theory. Also developing the finger muscles needed for an efficient pencil grip.
Children in Creche also explore books by identifying pictures and listening to different stories. This helps them develop observations skills, visual thinking, confidence to read and also ability to understand stories.
