Adding Some Pep to KAIS's Step

Fall Pep Rally 2022

Welcome to the first ever pep rally sponsored by Kiski Area Intermediate School's very own Student Council! This pep rally was a smashing success and everyone enjoyed it. Why wouldn't they? There were games, cheers, and music.

To get the kids excited about the fall sports and activities, every team had representatives give a speech about their sport. Mr. Scott gave one for football; Max Valasek and Tyler Bollinger gave one for their soccer team; Addison Buffone, Allie Smith, and Brooke Zoldak spoke on behalf of the girls soccer team; and Leah Kunkle and Meela Peace gave one for the Swim Team.

The 7th and 8th grade Cheer Squad performed some of their many cheers in the pep rally, adding much spirit to the whole event. Who doesn't like a cheer they can shout along with?

Also performing were the 7th & 8th grade band, and the 8th grade Chamber Singers. The band played the Kiski Fight Song throughout the whole assembly. The Chamber Singers sang the "Alma Mater", the song of Kiski.

A scooter race was held pitting athletes from 7th grade sports against 8th competitors. The 8th graders ultimately won the race, but it was neck-and-neck the whole time.

The Student Council sponsored event really added some pep to our step here at KAIS. It was a smashing success. Let's hope there are many more pep rallies in our future.
