Becoming an Active School

St. Joseph's National School, Kinvara is involved in the Active School Flag initiative.

The aim of the ASF is to enhance and improve the quality of physical activity experienced by its pupils and wider school community.

All classes will complete 60minutes of timetabled PE every week.

Active School Flag 

We are delighted here in St. Joseph’s NS to have been awarded the Active Schools Flag after a very busy school year of lots of activities and hard work. We had lots of fun throughout the whole process and engaged in a variety of initiatives; Run around Europe, Climb the Heights Skipping Challenge. Active School Week, Sports Day, Tennis lessons, National Fitness Day, Christmas Dance, Halloween Disco, Playground Leaders and many other exciting activities.
