Course Information

What is this course and is it right for me?

The BTEC Tech award in Sport, Activity and Fitness is for learners who enjoy Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport but want to acquire theoretical knowledge and technical skills through vocational contexts by exploring areas such as the body systems, psychology, nutrition, technology and leadership.

The vocational context provides a job-related qualification and understanding that prepares learners to enter an area of work they are interested in or to progress on to further study Post-16. It is right for you if you have a lively and enquiring mind, an interest in the sport and leisure industry, a willingness to explore new ideas and an ability to communicate your ideas effectively. Students who are organised and strong in project and assignment based work achieve well on this course.
