SCRATCH ADVANCE - GRADE V
Scratch is a safe and playful learning environment that engages all children in thinking creatively, reasoning systematically, and working collaboratively—essential skills for everyone in today's society. Students are exposed to the world of coding in a fun way. Students implement the concepts learnt in Math and Science using block based programming.
Animal Walk
Students learnt the concept of Control Statements while implementing the script to move the sprite to and fro on the screen.
School Name Animation
Students learnt to implement various Motion Blocks while animating the letters in the school name (KPS).
Text to Speech
Students used the Text to Speech conversion (extension) while taking a pledge to stay safe online during the ICT week in school.
Hide and Seek Game
Students used different event blocks to design the “Hide and Seek game”. They also learnt the concept of variable to maintain the scoreboard for the game.
Geometrical Shapes
Students used the pen up and pen down blocks to draw a geometrical figure. In this activity, students could visualize and implement concepts of coordinate geometry learnt in their Math class to create different shapes.
SCRATCH JUNIOR - GRADE IV
Color Changing Effect
Greetings
Students learnt about different options present in Looks block. They produced changing color effect on sprite by using appropriate code blocks.
Students used the Text to Speech conversion (extension) while creating a small greeting conversation between two sprites.
Repeat and Forever Loop
XY Coordinate
Students animated the sprite by implementing the concept of repeat and forever block.
Students learnt the concept of XY Coordinate axes. Using this they moved the sprite on the stage area horizontally and vertically.
