Hong Kong City
I have chosen this photo over my other photos because I like the colour palette. I also think the arrangement of the surfboards creates a pleasing composition to look at. Details on the surfboards like scratches and damaged paint present the scene to be quite aged and rich in personality even though no people are present. I feel like this image shows a less chaotic side to the nation rather than the busy constantly moving city that usually comes to mind when thinking of Hong Kong.
Hong Kong People
I like the different shapes and angles in this photo, unique to a cylinder library machine i have never seen before. In the reflection of the glass, me, the photographer, is visible, along with other people passing by. This represents the curiosity i think people should have in their surroundings, especially in a city as big and busy as Hong Kong, where people often don't get chance to admire the small things around them.
