The King George Athletics program exists to help the students of King George accomplish the mission of the school. King George Middle School strives to educate a diverse student population to become independent learners and productive citizens through the unified efforts of students, parents, educators, and the community.
Athletics offer a unique opportunity that gives student athletes a chance to experience and overcome obstacles in a different setting than academia. The program is about building students to become strong, well-rounded young people while learning to excel in all areas of life.
Weather Policy- KGMS Athletics will do all we can to get our scheduled games/matches played and we will let parents know as soon as possible if a change is needed. *Please remember that Spotsylvania County and Stafford County Middle Schools are not permitted to play King George Middle School. As a result ,we struggle to find games and matches that are close.
Since we or our opponents travel longer distances for competition, we often need to make decisions early regarding the need to cancel or reschedule.6.
At KGMS, we strive to keep the cost of participating in athletics low. Our programs have no fees payable to the school but depending on the sport, there are usually some sort of out-of-pocket costs to the athletes for proper shoes and other protective equipment. KGMS provides all uniforms for all sports.
To kEep the costs low, we do charge admission to all of our home games. Cost of admission is $6. Children 6 and under are free as well as seniors (65+) are free. NO REFUNDS ON TICKETS SOLD UNLESS GAME IS CANCELLED.
