1. Be enrolled as a full time student at KGMS
2. Have a current VHSL Physical on file with the athletic director (dated after May 1st of the current school year)
3. Pass the XLNTBrain concussion baseline test

KGMS Athletics Eligibility
Academic
To be eligible to try out for a KGMS Sports Team, a student must have passed 80% of their classes at the end of the most recent quarter.
Once school/season/conditioning/tryouts have started, students will need to maintain C’s in at least 5 of 6 classes. Students may have a D in one class, but can not have any failing grades.
The KGMS Athletic Director will complete grade checks bi-weekly starting at the midpoint of each grading period.
A student athlete who does not meet the standards will be put on probation until the Athletic Director completes the next grade check in two weeks' time. At this time, any student athlete who is ineligible will be suspended from KGMS Athletics until their grades meet the outlined standards.
Behavior
Receiving a minor BDF or after-school detention will result in coach notification/ meeting with the Athletic Director. Penalties can be assessed.
ISS- Suspension from team for 2 days.
OSS - Three days of team suspension for each day of OSS.
OSS of 5 days or more will result in automatic removal from the team.
*Coaches have the right to make grading policy more stringent for their team but may not soften this policy in any way. All grading and behavior issues must be conveyed to the Athletic Director in writing.
