Thank you Delegates and Delegations for an amazing KeysMUN III! Please fill out feedback:
The world's first middle school climate change conference!
In these committees, you will first be able to work with countries with similar interests to achieve solutions to common issues, then on the second day, you will engage in large-group negotiations with all committees.
KeysMUN committees are divided according to standard UNFCCC blocs.
Position Papers: Information on position papers and submission is here (required for Intermediate and Advanced)
Topic/UNFCCC Bloc: EU and Umbrella Group
The advanced committee is designed for delegates who are very familiar with all Model UN procedures, and have had experience with MUN.
Recommended for delegates who have gone to 2+ conferences prior to KeysMUN.
We challenge you to try advanced this year! We have plenty of space left in this committee!
Position paper required to be eligible for awards.
Because we are extremely low on beginner spots, registration is only open to individual delegations (one or two delegates max).
There are three beginner committees:
Small Island Developing States (SIDS) - Beginner A
LDCs (Least Developed Countries), without SIDS or some LLDCs - Beginner B
Beginner C: Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) - Beginner C
All three beginner committees are perfect for those who are new to Model UN, or seek to learn more.
Recommended for delegates with little to no prior experience.
No position paper required.
You are welcome to submit a position paper, and we will be happy to give feedback for it, but it won't be part of grading.
Note: SIDS are a UNGA group, almost identical to the AOSIS UNFCCC bloc, but with a few different countries.
Unfortunately, we are out of spots for the Intermediate committee: Like Minded Developing Countries (LMDCs) + BASIC.
Topic/UNFCCC Bloc: Like-Minded Developing Countries (LMDCs) + BASIC (adds Brazil and South Africa)
The intermediate committee is for delegates who are familiar with Model UN procedures and seek to further develop their skills.
Recommended for delegates who have gone to 1-2 conferences prior to KeysMUN.
Position paper required to be elegible for awards.
The background guide is released!
It has specific detail and information on your committee.
