How to get a project idea
Experience sharing by senior students
Science Project Coordinator announces the opening of registration period.
Students form a team consisting of two (2) students and join the Google Classroom for Science Project.
Students submit their research idea by filling out the registration form.
Students prepare a proposal draft and proposal presentation.
Students deliver 5 minutes presentation of their research idea (proposal presentation).
Science Project Coordinators and the appointed judges decide the score for each team based on a set of criteria (see next section).
Students that have joined the previous year Science Project will be greatly considered.
The teams will be assigned into Squad-1 and Squad-2 according tho the scoring result.
Science Project Coordinator announces the selected teams and the supervising teachers.
Squad-1 teams can start their research right away to prepare for ISPO (Indonesian Science Project Olympiad)
Squad-2 teams will prepare for the other competitions which are held later than ISPO.
Squad-1 teams prepare for ISPO guided by their supervising teachers and external advisor (if any) to finish the research and research report.
Squad-1 teams register for ISPO preliminary.
Squad-1 teams that are not qualify for ISPO final will be offered to prepare for other competitions.
Squad-1 teams that qualify for ISPO final will continue their preparation with their supervisors and external advisor (if any).
Improving the research
Preparing the research paper, presentation, and poster
Practicing the presentation before their peers, Science teachers, and English teachers.
Participation in ISPO final will be organised by an appointed teacher who will accompany the students to attend the event.
ISPO medal winners may be recommended to participate in international events by ISPO organiser.
ISPO finalists who don't win a medal may prepare for other competitions recommended by school's Science Project Coordinator, either national or international events.
Science Project Coordinator will hold several monitoring sessions to check on the students' research progress and deliver the following topics.
How to build a convincing background
How to write citation and references
How to design an experiment
How to analyse the data (table and diagram making)
How to present a project
How to design a poster

Science Project Coordinator will announce and offer the available international events, including the eligibility to participate and other relevant information regarding the events.
Generally, the eligibility includes:
Students are registered as the members of KBS Science Project squads
Students have a finished project qualified for International event before the registration deadline.
Students have a passport which expiry date is at least 6 month after the event date.
Students have their parents' consent.
However, each competition may set up some specific requirements. In this regard, Science Project Coordinator will add specific requirements.
The qualified students discuss with their supervising teacher about the participation.
Students give confirmation to Science Project Coordinator.
Students improve the quality of their research according to the guidance of supervisors to meet the international event's standard.
Students improve the quality of their research poster to meet the international event's standard.
Students practice to present their research before the Science teachers and English teachers to improve their skill in order to perform the best presentation.
KBS Science Project is always evaluated to improve the quality of the programme. We receive feedback from students and teachers who are involved in the program.
