KES PAC ANNUAL
DIRECT DONATION
Direct donation is a major contributor to annual fundraising for many schools in Vancouver. It is a simple and very effective way for you to contribute to the many PAC-funded programs and resources that enrich our children's learning experience beyond what public funding provides.
How is the PAC funded?
We rely on your support! Almost all funds are raised through fundraising initiatives like the hot lunch program, walkathon, and this direct donation appeal. Our fundraising benefits all of our students across both French Immersion and English programs, at both the Main School and the Annex.
What is our fundraising goal?
$65,000 is our total fundraising goal for the year. The more money we raise, the more we can contribute to our school community!
What does the PAC fund?
The VSB funds operational needs, then through the PAC we make our school a richer place to learn and grow. Your donations, this year and always, make a direct impact in many important ways:
Technology - The PAC funds technology to ensure all students have equitable access to digital learning. In the last few years we have funded laptops for student research and assignments, laptops for our library, and the purchase and installation of projectors in every classroom—helping teachers bring lessons to life and supporting engaging, modern learning experiences for every child. Our school’s technology needs to be regularly updated, and the school relies on PAC funding to be able to do so.
Sports Equipment & Active Play – We help fund sports and recreational equipment, ensuring students have opportunities to stay active, healthy, and engaged during the school day.
Classroom Enrichment – We provide additional classroom funds assigned to each teacher, used to purchase enrichment materials such as books, markers and stickers.
Science & Arts Materials – We provide funds for arts and science materials ranging from butterfly kits for kindergarten and seeds for outdoor garden education, to baking soda for science experiments and paint and other art supplies.
School & Cultural Programs – We support school-led activities such as the Maple Man, Coyote 101 education, and performances, as well as PAC-led initiatives like the Welcome Tea, Lunar New Year, parent education talks, and the summer Carnival.
Larger Enhancements – In past years, our PAC has also funded bigger projects such as picnic benches and playground improvements.
How are the funds allocated?
A budget is created annually, based on needs identified by teachers, staff, school administrators and parents. It is reviewed and voted on by the parent community at the AGM in June for the next school year.
How Much to Donate to the Direct Drive?
Any contribution is welcome! Whether you can donate $50, $100, or less, or more, it will make a direct difference. We understand every financial situation is unique and participation is completely voluntary. Please note: Donations of $20 or more will receive a tax receipt from the VSB.
How To Donate
Please make your donation through SCHOOL CASH ONLINE. Detailed information is in the graphic on the right side of this page.
When to Donate?
Donations can be made anytime during the year, but before the end of September will help us plan better for the year ahead.
Please consider donating to support the many PAC-funded programs and resources planned this year! Your support helps create a vibrant learning environment where every child can thrive. Thank you for being part of the community and for investing in our children’s education.
With gratitude,
