Q: How long have you been working here?
A: "This is my third year working at Ridgeview. "
Q: What are your favorite parts about Ridgeview High school?
A: "We really have a cohesive group here, the students, teachers, and the classified staff. I really like the way everyone works together here, I'm thrilled that I get to be the principal of such a great school."
Q: How are you working towards improving Ridgeview?
A: "We meet with the teachers every week to try and improve instruction for the following week to make sure classrooms are working well. Of course we have a great activities office and athletics program that keep kids motivated and involved which is good for the overall atmosphere of the campus as well. "
Q: What do you expect for students?
A: "We always have meetings, we look for what we can do to improve staff and students. "
Q: What do you think Ridgeview High school should be known for?
A: "This school has a good mixture of athletics, and academics it's a great school. I am willing to continue that legacy for Ridgeview"
Q: How does the school engage with the local community and business?
A: "Years and years ago there was not much near, but now there are lots of businesses and an increased number of clubs. . "
Q: What is your vison for the school, and how do you plan to achieve it?
"My vision for the school is to always have people build connections within each other and to feel apart of Ridgeview."
Q: How do you plan for the future needs of the school including facilities, technology, and development?
"For me its to leverage the knowledge of all the school departments and to make sure I hear the voices of these committees. While also going to conferences to make sure I am listening to the staff."
Q: Why do you love your job?
"I love my job because I love people, I like helping people and kids since I was a kid. I always dreamed of being in the position I am in right now.
Q: What is your vison for the school?
"Creating an positive environment for the kids to learn and have fun, while also having a focus on having positive and happy staff members."
Q: What are the school's biggest challenges, and how is the administration addressing them?
"Well, I think the biggest challenges we had is the cell phones and how it disrupts learning. Administration has been really supportive and cracking down on that so we can maintain a positive learning environment."
Q: What motivates you to come to work and what makes you love your job?
"My kids I do it all for the kids, I love my kids, the kids give me purpose. My job does not feel like a job because of my students."
Q: How does the school help students for college?
"We have A-G requirements for students that want to attend an four-year university. For those taking a career path there is CTEC, ROC, & the IT academy. All of Ridgeview's courses teach you how to work hard and be a great student."
Q: What measures are in place to ensure that the students are safe on campus?
"We have deans, an officer on campus, security teams, and we make sure people use the restroom for its intended purpose. We try having relationships with the students and we try to have the deans office as a welcoming place so the kids come to us in case of a fight. We can stop things before it escalates, we can make refrains from contact. We have a full time social worker to help those in need. We want the students safe. "
Q: What motivates you to work everyday and do your jobs?
"I really love the students here, I want the students to come everyday. I want them to feel like they're home away from home. If the kids need support we're always here for them"

Q: How does the school help students for college?
"We do a lot to help kids with college readiness, such as kids meeting with their counselors regularly. there are lot of different field trip opportunities to different colleges, and also showing kids there are many programs such as ROC/CTEC that help.
Q: How do you foster a positive school culture?
"So, we do a lot with our tier 1 and 2 teams and our students feel supported on campus and also having the P.A.C.K acronym. There is a lot of activities done through ASB and sports programs here on campus."
Q: How do you stay informed on the latest educational trends and incorporate them into the schools curriculum?
"We have meetings at the district office frequently to make sure we are updated and I stay updated through various organizations I am apart while also making sure I am in contact with other teachers."
