These activities, inspired by Chapter 3 of the California Mathematics Framework, are designed to strengthen number sense in young learners. Each activity invites students to explore mathematical ideas through hands-on materials, collaborative thinking, and purposeful play.
Together, they support educators in bringing the Framework’s vision to life by offering engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences that build confidence, reasoning, and a positive relationship with math in 6-8 classrooms.
