The Math Professional Learning Partnership (MPLP) is a collaborative network of California school districts, county offices, the California Mathematics Project, and other educational leaders working together to strengthen mathematics teaching and learning.
MPLP strengthens mathematics education across California by supporting the educators who make the biggest impact—teachers, coaches, and leaders.
Build Coaching Capacity
We invest in training administrators, coaches, and teacher leaders so they can translate research into effective classroom practice and support continuous improvement.
Strengthen Regional Networks
We connect educators across California through communities of practice where they share strategies, solve challenges together, and build leadership capacity.
Curate and Share Resources
We provide open-access, CMF-aligned tools and examples so teachers, schools, and LEAs can easily access what they need to improve math instruction.
Deliver Professional Learning
We design and lead professional learning opportunities that align with the 2023 California Mathematics Framework, making evidence-based practices practical and actionable.

MPLP collaborates with statewide initiatives—including Count Play Explore, California Mathematics, Science, and Computer Science (CAL-MSCS), the Rural Math Collaborative, and the Learning Acceleration System Grants—to create coherence, share resources, and expand opportunities for all educators and students.
Share and learn strategies that support all students in accessing rigorous mathematics
Participate in professional learning opportunities designed to meet the diverse needs of educators and communities
Strengthen their capacity to coach, mentor, and collaborate so that every teacher—and every student—has the support needed to succeed
