Science

Bacich follows the standards as outlined in the California Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).  The core curriculum we use is  Amplify Science , which we also supplement with additional engaging science activities.  The Amplify Science units in second grade are:

• Plant and Animal Relationships

• Properties of Materials

• Changing Landforms

Throughout the year, the Earth Science unit will also be enhanced by the second graders’ experiences and investigations in our second grade Bacich garden.
