What is Jamf?
Jamf is an Apple Mobile Device Management solution for Education systems. The Kenilworth School District 38 utilizes Jamf School, which allows our district IT staff to deploy, manage, and secure our Apple device fleet. Jamf offers a number of services including Jamf Parent, which allows parents to control their student's device at home

Download and open the application
2. Review terms and conditions
After successfully downloading the app, proceed to read the terms and conditions for Jamf Parent by navigating to the bottom of the text box
3. Find your child's QR Code
In order to pair your child's device, you will need to obtain a specific QR Code.
On the child's device, open the Jamf Student app and tap the child's avatar.
Tap Authorize parent and, a QR code will display.*
4. Pair Jamf Parent
After obtaining your child's QR Code, you will need to scan it with Jamf Parent
In Jamf Parent, tap the Add Child button and select Scan QR Code
5. Explore Jamf Parent
After successfully linking your child's device, you may select which child's device to manage. Depending on administrative configuration you may have access to the following information depending on your school or district's configuration:
Allowing/restricting sites
Enabling App lock
Setting device rules
*You can link multiple children to the same device and/or link the same child to multiple parent devices
