Family Tech Support - Canvas Parent

What is Canvas?

Canvas Student is our learning management system. Students can submit assignments, participate in discussions, communicate with teachers and students and access course materials. The app also provides access to course calendars, To Do items, notifications, and Conversations messages. Canvas is the main form of communication for our 6th-8th Grade students. We would like all 6th-8th Grade parents to create Canvas Parent accounts and be observers of their child(ren) at Sears.

Canvas Parent Web Browser

Access your child(s) Canvas courses on the go to the Sears Canvas Login Page on a web browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc) from any device. Parents can now keep track of their child(s) course work.

Navigate to https://kenilworth38.instructure.com/login/canvas

Select Parent of a Canvas User

Input your information and your students pairing code

How to Get a Pairing Code

Student Canvas Mobile App

Go to Settings on Student Account

Pair with Observer

Each child has there own unique code

How to Add Multiple Guardians to an account

#1 Login and select "Account

#2 Select "Settings"

#3 On the top righthand side, click the "+" sign to add an email address
