Bradley Swanson is a trumpet player and teacher in the DFW area. Mr. Swanson has taught all levels of trumpet players from beginners to professionals and has played in multiple orchestras, bands and chamber ensembles whilst being able to play and teach most specialties of the trumpet. He has gone from playing Verdi Requiem with the Dallas Opera members to playing salsa music with the likes of Miles Pena and others.
You can find Mr. Swanson finishing his masters in Trumpet Performance with a concentration on early music. Before this, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Trumpet Performance at University of North Texas where he participated in educational, amateur, and professional ensembles while he learned a variety of skills and techniques on a wide variety of brass instruments. Predating his time at UNT and his move to the DFW area Mr. Swanson was a 6A All-Stater from a 5A school in Lubbock, Texas.
Mr. Swanson has been competing in competitions since he was only 10 years old. He has participated in International Trumpet Guild, National Trumpet Competitions, various concerto and chamber competitions as well as winning the Charleston International Music Competition in the baroque category.
