Wind Ensemble

Wind Ensemble is the most advanced band at VRMS.  This is an upper level group (think “AP” for Band or Varsity for sports).  This group is made up of mostly 8th grade students with a few of the most advanced 7th graders also selected. More ownership is placed on the student rather than the student waiting for the teacher to “show them how it goes”. Students usually practice more than 3-4 hours a week at home to keep up with the advanced skills needed to perform our music. Private lessons are essential for this group to sustain the high level of literature assigned to them.
