Theatre Production Class Overview
Participate in a variety of school-wide events and represent the theatre department at occasions such as Trunk or Treat, the Veteran's Day Ceremony, mentoring 5th, 6th, & 7th graders, attending and participating in all ISMS theatre productions, UIL One-Act Play, The Kelley Awards, KISD District Design Fest, and the final Theatre Production Class Showcase.
This class is designed for students who plan to continue their theatre education in high school and wish to participate in the UIL One-Act Play and/or the Fall Musical.
Expectations for Theatre Production Students:
Maintain a passing grade in all classes
Receive positive feedback from teachers and coaches
Be a leader on campus
Demonstrate kindness, trustworthiness, and professionalism at all times
Contribute to producing high-quality theatre work
Have taken a full year of Theatre 1 class or been in 3 Mainstage shows (OAP/Musical)

Theatre Production Student Application
Theatre Production Video Auditions Due by February 12, 2026.
Students should perform a memorized 45 second to 1 minute monologue and record it. You will then upload the audition video into the following google folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PJ5fYJXw-qSWVbTMiaS_wAcatqUwJUD7?usp=sharing
Included in your audition video:
1. Slate - Introduce yourself, and the name of your monologue
2. Perform - perform and record your REHEARSED and MEMORIZED monologue. Choose something that is AGE and SCHOOL appropriate. Choose a piece from a play - not a movie. Choose something that shows off your talents. Make sure we can hear and see you!
3. Say thank you at the end!
Then, save the video and rename the video in this format: "First & Last Name"
Finally, upload the video to the link above.
