7th Grade Family and Consumer Science is designed to provide students with a hands-on experience discovering the magic of yeast. They will make their own pizza dough and create their own pizza. Also in this unit they will make pretzels, cinnamon buns, breadsticks, and Amish Friendship Bread. Homemade Dips and Dressings, as well as Charcuterie Boards are also a highlight for 7th graders. They will also learn several hand stitches, sewing buttons and creating their own pattern pieces for a "Felt Stuffie". They will use those new skills to create it using felt and their newly learned hand sewing techniques.
