Problem-based Learning

Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is a teaching method in which complex real-world problems are used as the vehicle to promote student learning of concepts and principles.

While direct presentation of facts and concepts is used, student investigations are paramount.

Canvas Connections

The Canvas Mastery Paths feature allows instructors to differentiate learning for students based on their performance on an Assignment or a Quiz. After the item is graded, the student can be diverted to three different paths based on their score on the Quiz or Assignment.

You can enable Mastery Paths to automatically assign coursework based on the score achieved for a previous assignment. This provides multiple opportunities to show and achieve mastery in a course.
