Center for Teaching & Learning

Welcome to the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at Kean University, a vibrant learning hub where faculty explore teaching as an ever-evolving craft. As a peer-led, administratively supported entity, the CTL engages full-time and adjunct instructors, offering key opportunities for colleagues to discover and share high-impact instructional practices that promote student success and instructional excellence.

Located in the Nancy Thompson Learning Commons (Library Room 116), the CTL offers workshops, services and resources to support teaching and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).

Promoting effective university teaching & meaningful student learning

Our primary focus is to empower educators with the tools, resources, and support they need to excel in their roles. Through workshops on research-based instructional practices, the CTL promotes effective university teaching and meaningful student learning.

Join us for a wide range of workshops and consultative services that create a dynamic learning space for cultivating instructional practices that can nurture and inspire the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and lifelong learners. Workshops are open to all, including full-time faculty, adjunct faculty and staff. Workshop course listings and registration can be found in  LibCal, an online registration system on the Nancy Thompson Learning Commons website.

For more information about the CTL, please email the CTL Director Dr. Dina Rosen at drosen@kean.edu.
