A Space 4 You

This is a woman-only mindfulness class for all sizes, shapes, physical abilities, and backgrounds. No experience is required. In this class we will disconnect from the outside world and connect with self through three different mindfulness practices. We will also build a wellness community and share in a community circle. We will learn how to practice yoga on the mat and off the mat to have access to our serene yogi self, no matter what the outside world looks like. This will be achieved through creating three different safe spaces and practices.

Below are the different wellness activities:

1.     Prompted and guided journaling practice followed by a meditation using visualizing and breathing practices. (Beginner level)

2.     Guided social-emotional exercises, where we will build a safe community of wellness practice and share about different social-emotional aspects in a community circle.  A wellness activity that will help us awaken and transform ourselves and our relationships one drop at a time.

3.    Beginners’ yoga (asana) on the mat. Our teacher is newly 200 hr certified yoga teacher. Students can bring yoga mat, 2 yoga blocks and 1 bolster. (Teacher can explain further about the props and how to substitute them during the first yoga session.)

Supply fee of $60 payable to the instructor on the first night of class.
