Acrylic Workshop

This course is for complete beginners as well as students who are used to using this medium. You will learn to use acrylics in different ways and how to mix colors and the perfect color we are looking to create with.   We will start with the basics, on the first day I will demonstrate how to use to use the medium to create different brushstrokes. We will then sketch in our Sketch books and learn how to mix colors and create something small. We will create a few small-scale paintings in our book and finish the course with a an artwork on a canvas. You will receive a supply list prior to the first class.

Watercolor From Beginner Thru Intermediate

This class is for the true beginner to watercolor. You will learn the basics of this wonderful painting medium, along with lots of tips and hacks. You will leave with a couple of paintings.

Upcycled Crocheted Rugs for Beginners


Learn the joy of upcycling existing materials to crochet beautiful and practical rugs! We will use items such as shirts, sheets, and t-shirts to make useful and creative home goods. No experience is needed, but you should be able to make a simple crochet chain, and a creative spirit is beneficial. We will explore how to harvest yarn from your shirts and sheets to create one-of-a-kind, practical home decor with intentionally selected fabrics upcycled into a new life. Our focus will be on crocheting round rugs and learning the basics of crochet as well as trouble-shooting crochet problems. Working on creative projects with others is a wonderful experience, and crocheting is a wonderful way to relax. Material cost of $20 is to be paid to the instructor on the first night of class.
