Writing

During writing class, students practice the following:

• complete sentences

• simple paragraphs (including topic sentence, details, and conclusion)

• types of writing including narrative, persuasive, informative

• participate in grammar lessons/activities

• engage in writing across the curriculum (i.e., writing in science class)

• engage in all parts of the writing process (i.e., brainstorm, rough drafts, editing, re-writing, and publishing)
