Background and Education
The 2026–2027 school year will be my 21st year as an educator and my 19th year in the Kutztown Area School District. Originally from Michigan, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Central Michigan University in 1998. In 2006, I earned a Master’s Degree in Education in Special Education, with dual certification in Elementary Education, from Lehigh University. My teaching career began in the Reading School District, where I taught 4th-grade Learning Support at 13th & Union Elementary.
I recently completed a Reading Science and Dyslexia Certification program through Mount Saint Joseph University. Following completion of the program, I earned certification from the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI) as a Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist (C-SLDI).
I am looking forward to learning, growing, and working together with you and your child!
