Allow yourself to be immersed in your surroundings and become one with that which you are observing!

With a family member or friend, take the online quiz and see if you can correctly identify all twenty objects. You maybe incredibly surprised by the appearance of some objects up-close. Good luck!
CHALLENGE: Observe at least two different objects from life and progressively zoom in with each thumbnail sketch. Consider objects that are out of your comfort zone and technically difficult. Challenge yourself by filling each 3” x 3” block with an expansive range of tonal values.
Drawing #1: GESTURE DRAWING
Spend no more than 5 minutes trying to capture everything that you can see. Consider the frame of reference when orienting your object. Expect fluidity.
Drawing #2: FOCUSED DRAWING
For 10 minutes, select an area in which you were interested by and focus in. Begin to explore textures and how the surface is affected by light and shadow.
Drawing #3: REFINED DRAWING
For 15 minutes, take one step closer towards your object and find a unique composition to observe. Refine this space through the upmost attention to detail and value.
