This Reading is Level four and quite long, so it can be tough. Read through it by yourself or with someone from your group. You will be collecting facts from all the readings to turn into a quizz using Kahoot, Blooket or Even Google Forms.
Learning Tip: Read through this at home with a family member, then you will have lots of time at school to be doing the create and share part of "Learn Create Share."
(Collect and fill your Jamboard Page.)
WAITANGI DAY HISTORY: There are many facts here. Good for getting the facts for your Quizz.
Read through the first two pages.
Skim and Scan the rest of the pages to find more facts.

The Facts without the padding. Bullet Point facts. Read through this one and collect only Interesting Facts. To do this one just use your screen shot feature on your Chromebook and past them onto your Waitangi Day Jamboard.
(Try something different, this time on your Jamboard collect only Screen clippings. Not whole paragraphs or pages just single notes and images.)
These Resources may be shared with you by the teacher but look at them at home to back up your learning. Use your time wisely and only watch these at home or in your own time.
Create a logo - Mine here is pretty plain and doesn't really include anything to do with New Zealand or our culture. Use online sites and Logo Creators or Canva, or just grab a piece of paper and pencil and create your own. Remember to include images such as a map of NZ or a Koru shape or something special to Waitangi Day in New Zealand.
