To mark a joyful beginning to the new academic year, our pre-primary learners were warmly welcomed for their first day of school. The day was thoughtfully planned to ease the transition into school life while fostering a sense of excitement and belonging.
The event was filled with engaging games and hands-on activities that supported the development of gross and fine motor skills, cognitive abilities, numeracy, and communication. Integrating subjects such as Art, Math, Communication, and Sports, the children explored learning in a playful and meaningful way.
Each level had a unique lineup of activities tailored to the developmental needs of the learners. Activities included creative crafts, music and movement sessions, sensory exploration, and fun interactive games. A special highlight of the day was the photo booth corner, where children posed with bright smiles, capturing a special memory of their very first day.
By the end of the day, our young learners had already begun to form friendships, engage in problem-solving, and express themselves with growing confidence. It was a heartwarming start to a journey of curiosity, creativity, and connection.
The event successfully laid the foundation for a nurturing learning environment where each child feels seen, valued, and ready to thrive.
Nurturing Young Planet Protectors:
Celebrating Earth Day in Early Years
Earth is home to a beautiful diversity of life, made possible by the unique conditions that support living beings. This makes it all the more important for us to protect and preserve our environment. On the special occasion of Earth Day, our Early Years learners took part in a variety of hands-on and meaningful activities that helped them understand the importance of caring for our planet.
Through engaging videos, creative art, and thoughtful exploration, our young minds discovered why it’s crucial to keep the Earth clean and healthy—for birds, animals, and humans alike. They also learned about the effects of global warming and how our everyday actions can make a difference.
EY1 learners participated in a cleanliness activity, where they learned the importance of keeping their surroundings tidy. They also enjoyed forming Earth out of clay, a fun and tactile activity that enhanced their fine motor skills.
EY2 learners took part in an imaginative ocean-cleaning role-play, which fostered empathy and mindfulness toward marine life. They also engaged in a number-based coloring activity of planet Earth, blending creativity with number recognition.
EY3 learners explored the concept of global warming through an ice-melting experiment. This simple yet impactful activity helped them understand how rising temperatures can affect our planet.
Earth Day celebration not only deepened their connection with the natural world but also nurtured a sense of responsibility and mindfulness toward our shared home. Today was a joyful, meaningful experience that sowed the seeds of environmental consciousness in the hearts of our young learners.
Together, we are growing a generation that loves and protects the Earth.
We had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day on April 23rd, 2025! This year’s theme, Read Your Way, encouraged our learners to explore stories in their own unique style. Each child brought their favourite storybook from home and excitedly shared it with their friends, fostering a love for reading and storytelling.
The day was especially significant as it also marked the birthday of William Shakespeare, giving us the perfect opportunity to introduce our young learners to the world of classic literature.
Here’s how each class celebrated:
EY1: Made creative DIY stick bookmarks to use with their favorite stories.
EY2: Our little ones had a roaring good time crafting their own DIY Lion Hand Puppets, inspired by animal tales and jungle adventures. This hands-on activity helped them connect with the characters they love and brought their stories to life!
EY3: Budding authors in EY3 got creative by making their very own DIY Small Storybooks. They wrote, illustrated, and proudly shared their unique stories, sparking imagination and early literacy skills.
🎭 Shakespeare in Action: Our talented teachers enacted a scene from a play- "A Midsummer Night's Dream!", by William Shakespeare, delighting the children with a fun and age-appropriate introduction to theatre. The learners shared what they understood and enjoyed from the performance, taking away lessons about emotions, characters, morals and storytelling styles.
It was a joyful day full of creativity, imagination and laughter — a true celebration of books and the endless adventures they offer!
