Exploring Digraphs ‘ch’ and ‘sh’
Words are the building blocks of language that help us read, write and communicate. A rich and complex vocabulary makes way for great academic success. Some words are made up of a cluster or a bunch of letters that make the same sound. While learning to read and write, distinguishing between these two sounds can be challenging for young learners but learning to do so is essential to their overall literacy skills. This activity was designed to explain the rules of adding 'ch' and 'sh' to words in a simple and fun way. This fun sorting activity helped learners to focus on the digraphs ch and sh, requiring the learners to identify the picture and sort the ch or sh to the correct word.

Learning about quantity with quality!
When it comes to the subject of mathematics, to make it a fun-filled experience for our little learners, we ensure that all the fear and boredom remain at bay with some exciting activities to introduce diverse concepts. The mathematical concept of quantity was introduced to our little minds through ‘few & many’ activity. They learned to identify and distinguish objects with regard to few and many. This activity enhanced the cognitive development of the students as they gained logical reasoning, problem solving skills and number sense.

Earthworm Hunt: The Search is on!
This activity was designed for learners to develop knowledge and the importance of earthworm in breaking down organic matter to produce soil which helps plants to grow. Going on a worm hunt was a great motivator for hands-on learning. Learners had a fun tactile experience hunting for these soil dwellers in our school garden. This activity also generates enthusiasm in our little learners digging to loosen the soil and uncover a whole world that creeps and crawls beneath their feet. Our little ones showed persistence, focus and self-control. Learners were brimming with joy and would squeal as they found worms, hopping up to share their discoveries. Learners had a great time and just did not want to stop.
