Maya Gallery, founded in 2012 by Singaporean artist couple Jeffrey Wandly and Masturah Sha’ari, is a celebrated institution dedicated to Singapore’s multicultural heritage, with a particular focus on Malay artists. Maya Gallery not only promotes artistic expression but also upholds a strong sense of social responsibility. Abu Jalal Bin Sarimon, a third-generation Singaporean artist. Known for his Social Commentary pieces and the thought-provoking Big Nose Series. His bold works encourage viewers to reflect on societal issues, revealing his profound concern for humanity. As the founder of AIAS and F&L, Vice President of MASS, and a Senior Member of APAD, he plays a pivotal role in organising and participating in art events around the world, advocating for art's role in social dialogue and change.
Mr. Kamal Dollah, a renowned community artist and founder of Kamal Arts, a community gallery for promotion of visual arts in the Malay community.
Kamal Dollah is a prominent Singaporean artist renowned for his expertise in batik painting and caricature.Kamal established Kamal’s Artshop in 2008, creating a platform to train and employ artists in art education and entertainment. In 2014, he founded Kamal Arts Limited, a non-profit organisation aimed at expanding community engagement with the arts. His contributions to the art world and community service were recognized with the Artisan of the Year award by the Rotary Club of Singapore in 2019. His commitment to both art and community makes him a key figure in Singapore’s cultural landscape.
