The Cosmic Dance of Creation (And Dissolution)
Year : 2024
Medium : Paper Collage on Color Paper (Canson)
Dimension (cm) : 25 x 45 cm
This collage addresses the ongoing dystopian conflict between nature and humanity, illustrating the inevitable victory of nature over mankind. Chaotic layering of animal forms and human elements underscores the tension between the two forces, with fragmented imagery symbolizing the consequences of human interference in the natural world. While the theme of the artwork explores this external battle, the process of creating it speaks to a more personal narrative—my own rejuvenation as an artist.
After a hiatus caused by academic burnout and life circumstances, I gradually reconnected with my creative drive, particularly through the medium of collage. This resurgence occurred during my stint as an educator, where I not only reawakened my passion for creating but also imparted the nuances of collage to my students. Through this work, I reflect on both the power of nature and the restorative power of art in my own life.
