The word IQRA is of classical Arabic origin which literally means 

‘recite / read’ from what is believed to be the first word revealed to Prophet Muhammad Sollalahi wa alaihi wassalaam. It is the first chapter of the Quran revealed by Angel Jibree . The command from Allah is indeed for the ummah to seek knowledge and elightenment. When we seek knowledge, the unknown will be uncovered and human expands their horizon.

For Islam, seeking of knowledge is obligatory, from the day you are born, till the time you leave this world.

Reading is indeed rejuvenating.
