In Tui Whānau, we have an open-door policy and we enjoy our whānau being part of our learning journey here at school.
This page is to keep our whānau updated with important events, dates, and pānui.
Tuesday 17th August 2021 - COVID-19 Update
Kia ora Whanau,
You will be aware that on Tuesday evening the Prime Minister advised that the whole country will be moving into Level 4 for at least three days. This means Kaingaroa School will be moving into lockdown and will be closed for the remainder of this week. While we are in level 4 lockdown, we ask you to be vigilant and to stay at home unless you need to go out for groceries, exercise, or medical reasons. Our class site is ready to go, and will have the information and activities you need for your child to learn at home for the remainder of the week.
Below is a link to our class google hangouts which I will run at 9.30am and 11am for 30 minutes each day to check in with the students. I will be checking my emails regularly throughout the day in case you, or your students, need support.

HOW IT WORKS?
Have a go at doing the work set for you. Don't worry if you don't complete it.
Click on the google hangout picture to meet with your teacher at the specified time. We will talk about the learning for the day at 9am and go through any concerns.
Email or share your work with your teacher when you have finished.
I will be available via email between 9am- 3pm each school day to assist with anything you need.
We will keep the tasks up for the week so don't worry if you miss a day.

Thank you to all whanau who attended our Whanau Hui this week. It was awesome to see you all. Please feel free to browse the slideshow which gives some tips and directions for caring for your chromebooks and manoeuvring around our digital world.

Tui Assembly 12th March
On Friday 12th March, Tui whanau presented their learning to the school at an assembly. It was great to see many of our parents and whanau there. If you were not able to make it please browse through the slide show that we created, which showcases some of the great learning so far this term.

Covid-19 Update: Monday 15th February, 2021
Kia ora Whanau,
You will be aware that last night we moved into Level 2, and that Auckland is currently in Covid Level 3. While students are still required to be at school in level 2, we ask you to be vigilant and to keep your child at home if they are feeling unwell. If anything changes and we need to move into level 3, I will have our class site ready so will have the information and activities you need for your child to learn at home.
