In Tui Whānau, we learn about alegbra as part of our strand programme. We learn about spatial and number patterns; variables and the order of operations in linear equations; and recursive rules for non-linear relationships.
WALT use tables, graphs and rules to describe linear relationships found in number and spatial patterns.
use terms such as chance, possible, probable, likely, certain, fraction, percent to describe and explain the likelihood of an event or situation occurring
connect use a variety of tools and strategies to solve problems involving probability
know or work out fractions as percentages and decimals and vice versa
