Review (NO SPOILERS HERE!):
First of all, I am not a huge fantasy reader. I love fantasy in other mediums like movies, TV, etc. but fantasy books are always so hit or miss for me. In order for me to love a fantasy book, I need details. I need to know why we’re here, who created this world, what is its history, what is the purpose, why are there different realms? Etc, etc. I need to know every in and out of this imagined world in order for me to fully invest and forgo my reality. Well, that’s exactly what Sarah J. Maas gives her readers. My teacher lent me this series, and I was immediately enraptured by the slick, fantasy world of Prythian. I could not recommend this series more. It is truly amazing and although the books are mega thick, they are fast reads. The characters are beautifully broken and I find myself wanting to know more and more about this world.
