Element K: Reflection on the Design Project

What were the most important points of learning how to implement the design process to an open-ended design challenge? If we were going to do this project over, what should be done differently during the design process to improve the project and how would those recommendations make the project better overall?

An open-ended design project in its entirety is the closest a course will get to replicating the actual process of a true engineer or scientist. The lack of restriction, however, may lead to many complications if there are no regulations or a distinct plan for the design. The most important point of implementing the design process into our project was ensuring that everything was incredibly detailed so that the group members could follow it, such as detailed research, detailed drawings, detailed brainstorming, etc. If our group had the opportunity to re-do this project, it would be more helpful for the members to be more willing to go back to previous steps in the design process.
