Davis-Bahcall Scholars Program
For students entering into a STEM college program.
A once-in-a-lifetime, all-expense-paid opportunity that connects science-curious students with peers and mentors while exploring the modern world of STEM research.
Students will spend four weeks exploring leading national and international laboratories and universities in the Black Hills, across the Midwest and in Chicago, Illinois.

Central Electric District Scholarship
New in 2025, Central Electric is offering up to sixteen $500 District Scholarships - up to two scholarships per county will be awarded from the Basin Electric Scholarship list of applicants that are not selected for that scholarship.
The student must complete the Basin Electric Power Cooperative Scholarship application and have their primary residence served by Central Electric to qualify
The winners of the $1000 Basin Electric Scholarship and $1000 Jay Headley Memorial Scholarship are not eligible for the $500 District Scholarship
Children and dependents of cooperative employees and board members are not eligible for this scholarship

Awards four $500 scholarships to a dependent of a Dakota Energy member. The Basin Electric Power Cooperative scholarship program awards one $1,000 scholarship to a dependent of a Dakota Energy Cooperative member. The scholarship must be used for educational costs, and the student must enter college in the fall. The scholarship award will be distributed in two equal installments, the first installment in August and the second installment in January.
Dakota Energy Cooperative awards one $1,000 scholarship to a dependent of a Dakota Energy member who attends the Powerline Construction and Maintenance Program at Mitchell Technical Institute. Dakota Energy also awards one $1,000 scholarship to a dependent of a Dakota Energy member who attends the Electrical Construction and Maintenance Program at Mitchell Technical Institute.
