ASVAB Career Exploration Program
The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is an assessment that helps students learn more about their strengths, skills, and potential career paths.
At Colman-Egan, all juniors will take the ASVAB during the school day as part of our college and career exploration opportunities.
While the ASVAB is commonly associated with the military, taking the ASVAB does not mean a student is committing to or required to join the military. The results can be a valuable career exploration tool for students considering many different paths after high school.
ASVAB results can help students:
Identify personal strengths and skill areas
Explore careers that match their abilities and interests
Discover career fields they may not have considered before
Connect their strengths to future education and training options
Learn more about military career opportunities, if interested
2026–2027 ASVAB Date
Coming This Fall — Stay Tuned! 🍂
Colman-Egan typically offers the ASVAB during October. An official date has not yet been selected for this school year.
Once a date is confirmed, additional information about who can participate, how to sign up, and what to expect on testing day will be shared with students and posted here.
After the ASVAB
The ASVAB isn't just about receiving a score! Students will have an opportunity to use their results to learn more about themselves and explore careers that may be a good fit as they begin making plans for life after high school.
