ACT Information

ACT - Junior Year

The ACT is a state-required assessment for all 11th-grade students and is administered during the school day at Colman-Egan. Students do not need to register individually for this school-day ACT administration.

The ACT measures skills in English, mathematics, reading, and science and provides students with a score that can be used for college admissions, scholarships, and future planning.

What Juniors Need to Know

As testing approaches, Mrs. Tammen will provide students with information about:

• Testing date, time, and location

• What to expect on test day

• ACT preparation and practice resources

• How to access and understand ACT scores

• How ACT scores may be used for college and career planning

No action is needed from juniors or families at this time. More information will be shared throughout the school year.

Additional ACT Opportunities at Colman-Egan 

Colman-Egan is also an ACT testing site, which means students may have opportunities to take the ACT outside of the required junior-year testing day.

Students who are not yet juniors, or students who would like to take the ACT again to improve their score, may register for an available ACT national testing date hosted at Colman-Egan.

These additional ACT dates require individual registration through ACT and may include a registration fee. Testing dates, registration deadlines, and availability vary throughout the year.
