The Four Directions Graduation Coach Approach provides intensive supports to First Nations, Metis and Inuit learners and their families with the goal of seeing each learner through to graduation towards their own chosen pathways. If your child self-identifies as First Nations, Metis or Inuit, they will have access to the Four Directions supports at Beaver Brae Secondary School (Kenora), Dryden High School, Red Lake District High School, Sioux North High School (Sioux Lookout) and the KPDSB Virtual School. The Four Directions staff provide mentoring and guidance to First Nation, Metis and Inuit students and ensure that they have a supportive environment as they build a sense of independence and achievement.
Four Directions staff work with students and families:

develop leadership skills
support school and home communication
link students with school and resources and opportunities
career planning
goal setting
Students receive customized and personalized supports delivered by a "circle of caring adults” that includes teachers, school staff, parents/ caregivers and community supports. The Four Directions Graduation Coaches and Student Support Navigators work to ensure a sense of belonging and security for students by building relationships with caring adults, role models, peer-tutors, students and community members.
