EOEL PUBLIC PRESCHOOL APPLICATION 2024-2025

EOEL Public Prekindergarten Program Application Packet

 

Please complete and submit your application along with all required documents to the school where you are applying.  You will be notified by mail of your application status.

 

To qualify, families must meet certain eligibility requirements.

1.) Children must be age four on or before July 31 of the current school year.

  -For school year 2024-2025, children born on or between August 1, 2019 - July 31, 2020 are eligible.

2.) See application packet for priority categories that your child may be eligible for.

For instructions on enrolling your child online, please see the HIDOE Online Registration Parent Instruction document below.  Once submitted, please call the main office to complete the registration process.  Additional health forms, such as TB clearance and student health records, will be required.  For more information, please click here.

Required documents for student registration:

 

1.) Birth Certificate

2.) Health Records: Updated Immunizations, TB Clearance and Updated Physical

3.) Residence Verification: Utility Bill or Rental/Mortgage Agreement

4.) Parent/Guardian photo ID

5.) Any legal documents (if applicable)

*If your child will be transferring in from another school, please note that transfer records are also required at the time of registration. 

 

Please bring the necessary documents to Nānāikapono Elementary School during these Registration hours: 8:30am to 11:30am, Monday thru Friday.

When do I enroll my child?


Children who are 5 years old by July 31 enroll in kindergarten for that school year. For example, children who are 5 years old by July 31, 2024 enroll in kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year. Children who turn 5 on August 1 or later enroll the following school year. For more information, please read our 

Kindergarten was made mandatory on May 1, 2014. Act 76 amended the Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 302A-411 and 302A-1132, which also list exemptions from mandatory attendance.
