Mom Power is an attachment-based parenting program designed to provided education to parents, connect them with resources, and support their relationship with their child.  The program will be held on Tuesdays from 7/11/23 through 9/12/23 from 5pm to 6:30pm on Zoom.

The program is for women who are pregnant or with at least one child aged 0-5 years old and can attend most of the 10 sessions.  Preference given to those with Native Hawaiian ancestry.

Aloha Nānāikapono families and community members!  Please note that our Summer Feeding hours and dates have changed from previous advertisements.  The dates for summer feeding are from June 5th to June 30th with breakfast being served from 7:00am to 8:30am and lunch being served from 10:30am to 12pm.

Summer feeding is for children under 18 years of age and they must be present and able to pick up their tray and carry it to a lunch room table independently.

Aloha Nānāikapono families!  We would like to invite you to participate in our 2023 Summer Parent Book Study!  Lead by Instructional Coach Mrs. Dacuycuy, parent participants will read and discuss the topics contained in Hal Urbanʻs book titled, "Lifeʻs Greatest Lessons: 20 Things That Matter," while attending 4 weekly virtual meetings.  To view a larger version of our flyer, please click here.

Those interested should fill out the registration form by clicking here.  Registration starts Monday, May 15th and will be open until the end of the day on Friday, May 19th.  Only the first ten (10) parents that sign up will get to join, so please sign up early on Monday 5/15/23!  Participants will be given a free copy of the book!  The first meeting will be on Monday, June 5th from 10am to 10:45am.  Future meeting times will be decided on at the first meeting to allow for parent input.

Aloha Nānāikapono families!  A+ Pre-registration is now open for the 2023-2024 school year!  After school A+ at Nānāikapono consists of enrichment activities which offer children educational opportunities outside the traditional in-school curriculum.  

Additionally, opportunities for subsidized tuition are available to help families pay between 40% to 100% of tuition if they meet the eligibility requirements.

Families that submit their online registration by 5pm on May 19th will receive notification of their child's A+ status by May 26th.  Pre-registration does not guarantee acceptance. Applicants that apply later that the 19th will automatically be added to the waitlist.

October: The Fire Prevention Month

October is Fire Prevention Month!  This year we are celebrating 100 years of Fire Prevention Week in the US.  Students will be learning about Fire Prevention in school we would love if families could also promote the 2022 theme, "Fire Won't Wait.  Plan Your Escape."  Additional information and educational resources, including games and videos, are available at nfpa.org/fpw.  Mahalo and thank you for helping to teach our keiki how to be safe!
