Who Is a Health Careers Academy Student?

A typical Academy student is interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field. Students may not necessarily know the exact career they want to pursue, but they have a passion for and a drive to work in healthcare.

Most of the students in the Health Careers Academy are female, but the Academy has seen an increase in the number of males joining the program over the past several years. With around 200 students, this is one of the larger career academy options available at Kapolei High School.

The bottom line for being successful in this academy is a commitment to lifelong learning, growing confidence in oneself and decision-making, and demonstrating compassion for others.
