Does the School Health Section purchase health room supplies?
Does the School Health Section purchase health room supplies?
These supplies should come from the school's budget as they are a calculated portion of the WSF (weighted student formula). SHS can assist with recommending vendors to purchase from. The school account clerks however would be most knowledgeable on approved vendors. SHS may provide occastional resources as needed for consistency in program and health room requirements.

CPR and First Aid certification will be coordinated and held at our annual Institute Day events. Additional training may be coordinated by SHS on professional development days as requested by complex teams.

SHS Office only provides the following forms: SH 6, Health Room Log, SH 8, Health Room Referral, SH 10B (Form 14 - Request/Information), SH-16, Notice to Parent(s) & Legal Guardian(s), and the SH53, Notice to Parents & Guardians Regarding: Head Injury. Please review the SHA manual for active HIDOE forms for use within the health room.
Form ordering will be coordinated once per semester and will be offered via an online ordering form made available in the SHA newsletter.

Is any documentation of TB clearance (i.e. proof of assessment) required with the Form 14 to document compliance?
Is any documentation of TB clearance (i.e. proof of assessment) required with the Form 14 to document compliance?
No. If the Form 14 has been completed, a separate TB clearance letter is not needed.
